4 Ways Intelligen.Energy Educates Homeowners on Solar
I am absolutely terrible with street names. I can probably tell you about 4 in my hometown - one of them is Main St. . . . . and another is the street I live on.
On the other hand, I am fantastic with routes. If I actually traverse a route once, I can do it again from memory 6 months from now. I can still remember landmarks and how to get places in cities that I haven't lived in for nearly a decade.
This is simply how I learn. In general, I'm better with experiences and sensations . . . .and as plenty of people in my life will attest, I am a terrible audible learner.

However, that's just me. People learn in all different manners, which is why at Intelligen we use a variety of different platforms to educate homeowners about solar energy:
4. Whitepapers
Some people are avid readers. They want to learn more and more about how solar works, the ROI solar can provide, the incentives their state offers, etc. To fulfill this reading appetite, we publish about 1 new whitepaper every week outlining the aforementioned subject areas as well as many others.
3. Videos
Other people like to sit in their desk chair and listen to information while multitasking. . . . or sit on their couch and watch educational videos as a way to "productively relax". For those people, we've developed a series of 2-4 minute videos that answer that question we most frequently hear.
2. Home Consultation
Most people are interested in how solar can specifically affect them. This includes not only how solar affects their utility bills, but also how it looks on their home (or if any trees need to be cut down). A custom preliminary solar design is a great way to start learning about the symbiotic relationship between solar energy and your home. Or, you can request that we come out and talk you through all pros and cons of the different options, companies, and financing available.
1. Events
If you are a more tangible person, you can catch us at a number of events where we are invited to come speak / educate the population about solar. Look for us at home shows, community meetings, or school / museum events. Depending on the venue, you can catch us presenting, creating on the spot designs, or handing out some of our materials (but no matter what we are always willing to answer any questions).
This is only a sampling of the ways we educate. We're constantly expanding our resources and developing unique ways to get information to people. Always feel free to contact us if you ever need solar information or want us to come to your event.
(Just don't give me directions via street names).
